I’m a PhD student at the Faculty of Information. My research focuses on human-computer interaction, embodiment, and digital media in learning environments. I’ve done research on augmented reality, 3D printing, and “making” engagements in classrooms and museums. I have extensive experience with new media technologies, DIY hacking/making culture, and the history of computing, and my work applies themes from these respective areas to educational opportunities (both formal and informal). I also work with the Semaphore Lab, which is the mobile and pervasive computing cluster of the Inclusive Design Institute (and the Critical Making Lab, which is now housed there).
